Activities at The
Residence at Tall Pines
Participate in a variety of fun events and activities with your
friends at The Residence at Tall Pines. Please click
here for scheduling on our
monthly calendar. The Calendar will open in a new window.
Morning Interlude: Coffee, Donuts, homemade pastries and great conversation in the
main dining room.
Phase 10 Cards: Residents enjoy a rummy type game with
a twist.
The twist is that the phase to be completed is
specific for each hand.
Those that complete the phase advance to
the next phase but those that have not must try again.
It’s a challenge that is sure to keep you
on the ball.
Shopping: Julie, our Activities Director, takes the
residents grocery shopping, to local pharmacies, local banks or anywhere
they would like to go within a 10 mile radius.
Mystery Ride:
Residents are taken in the Tall Pines van
for an hour ride.
It may be a trip to the local beach, out
for ice cream or to play tourist!
The fun is the mystery!
Food Committee Meeting: Residents gather in the dining
room to meet with the Kitchen Manager and Head Chef to discuss the
quality of the dining experience.
It is a forum for compliments and
suggestions.
All suggestions are taken into account and
the kitchen does their best to accommodate them.
Although the residents may not be cooking
their own meals, this allows them to still be involved.
Happy Hour: Every Friday at 4 pm, the residents gather
to enjoy sparkling cider and fresh
appetizers created by our chefs.
The residents enjoy a fun filled atmosphere
of music and comradery.
Resident Council: The residents meet with the Resident
Services Director and/or the Administrator in an open forum.
Residents have the opportunity to voice
their opinions on everything that has to do with Tall Pines.
Management listens carefully and do all
they can to accommodate the residents in a way that is fair to other
residents and staff.
Management has the opportunity to discuss
community announcements.
Saturday Movie:
Every Saturday at 2 pm the residents gather
in the TV room to watch the featured movie on our large plasma screen
television.
It’s like being in a private theatre!
