Everybody is invited to participate in a variety of fun events and activities with friends at The Residence at Tall Pines.  Julie, our Activities Director, strives to keep a calendar filled with enjoyable events, including many outings in our bus, musical entertainment, games, puzzles and more! Below is a sampling and explanation of some of our regular events at The Residence at Tall Pines.

Morning Interlude-
Morning Interlude is a wonderful time for our residents to gather together to enjoy coffee, donuts, homemade pastries and great conversation in the main dining room. It's also a time to discuss and look forward to upcoming activities for the week.

Phase 10 Cards-  Come enjoy a rummy type card game with a twist!
The twist is that the phase to be completed is specific for each hand.
Those that complete the phase advance to the next phase but those that have not must try again.  It’s a challenge that is sure to keep you on the ball! But be careful, a lot of laughter goes on during these games!

Shopping-  Julie, our Activities Director, loves to take the residents grocery shopping, to local pharmacies, local banks or anywhere they would like to go within a 10 mile radius. If the weather is bad, she is happy to take a list!

Food Committee Meeting- Residents gather in the dining room to meet with the Dietary Director to discuss the quality of the dining experience.
It is a forum for compliments and suggestions.  All suggestions are taken into account and the kitchen does their best to accommodate them.  Although the residents may not be cooking their own meals, this allows them to still be involved.

Happy Hour-  Every Friday at 4 pm, the residents of The Residence gather to enjoy sparkling cider and fresh appetizers created by our chefs.
Come enjoy a fun filled atmosphere of music and camaraderie!

Resident Council-  Once a month, the residents meet with Cindy and/or Matt in an open forum discussion.
They have the opportunity to voice their opinions or suggestions on anything that has to do with The Residence at Tall Pines.  Management listens carefully and do all they can to accommodate the residents in a way that is fair to other residents and staff.   This is also an opportunity to discuss community announcements and coming events.

Saturday Movie-
Every Saturday at 2 pm the residents gather in the TV room to watch the featured movie on our large plasma screen television.  It’s like being in a private theatre!

Mystery Ride-  Come board the bus and see where it goes....  It may be a trip to the local beach, out for ice cream, or just to play tourist!  The fun is in the mystery!

Julie PeaveyJulie Peavey – CNA, CRMA, is first aid and CPR certified. Julie is our Activities Director, and also oversees the Adult Day Program. She manages them both perfectly! She is a warm, caring and very energetic person, and brings much laughter and joy to everyone's lives. She “enjoys her job tremendously,” and everybody loves her too! Julie lives with her husband and two dogs.
